The Chequers pub is located in the charming Cotswold town of Chipping Norton, right at the old entrance to the town’s famous market place. Named The Anchor until 1794, the pub is in fact the oldest building in town - built more than 500 years ago.Get Directions
By Car
The pub is on Goddard Lane, right at the heart of the town, which can be easily accessed via the A44, A361 or B4450. Free short stay parking is available just a stone’s throw from the pub, or there’s long stay parking available on New Street and Albion Street - both of which are less than five minutes walk from the town centre.
By Train
Chipping Norton doesn’t have its own train station, but Kingham and Charlbury stations are both close by - offering regular services between Oxford and Hereford.
